The veteran actor turned politician Paresh Rawal is a happy man these days. His son Aditya Rawal is turning a Broadway writer with a play that he has written titled ‘The Queen’. Aditya seems to be following in his father’s footsteps, as it’s known to everybody that Paresh Rawal and his wife Swaroop Sampat are passionate about theatre.
The first show of the play will be held in New York and his family will be present to cheer for him. His first production is set in the 16th century India when the Mughal rule was in its full glory. It traces the story of Durga, whose life changes after her husband, a Rajput king, marries a younger woman. His writing is inspired by William Shakespeare’s Macbeth and the works of Rabindranath Tagore.
