Director Prakash Jha who is well-known for his political and socio-political films is all set to helm a documentary for the National Legal Services Authority (NALSA). NALSA roped in Jha to make documentaries and short films. The main aim is to create awareness by sharing success stories related to legal services in India with the masses.
A source from NALSA states that Jha’s team has already started work on the documentary, and last week, they even took some shots at places like the Supreme Court.
Jha will most likely be visiting Delhi by the month end and will be discussing stories and other content for a short film or documentary. The idea was proposed in December last year. The aim is to popularise legal aid services in the country, so that those in need of help can avail of them.
Jha will be working free of cost because this is for a social cause. A song could also be incorporated in the promotional film. A source says, “Though we are yet to decide on that, names like Javed Akhtar and Gulzar were being discussed for it.
