Ranveer Singh reveals his dream role

Bollywood brat Ranveer Singh will be seen donning a mother’s role in ‘Ranveer Ching Returns‘. The blue-eyed boy of Bollywood who has donned a number of roles confessed that he always wanted to do a role of a mother. Looks like he got his dream fulfilled by filmmaker Rohit Shetty who is directing the advertisement for a leading food brand.

Ranveer Singh who is just back from his vacation in the Swiss Alps said, “I always wanted to do a role of a mother. And thanks to Rohit, I finally got to play this part.”

The six-minute-long TVC stars Ranveer Singh and southern superstar Tamannaah Bhatia. The first part of the advertisement that depicted Ranveer as the messiah of masses was filled with high octane action sequences. We now have the ‘Befikre’ actor in the garb of an old lady Maa Ching playing his own mother.

Director Rohit Shetty quipped about the madness in the advertisement that has all the making of a short film. He said,“One needs to be little mad for this kind of thing. We all are little cracked in the upper chamber. You must have seen in my film. you need to be little mad for this line of work. I was giving it a lot of thought; should I do it, How to do it? Then Ranveer Singh Joined the team and he said let’s go all out and do it.”

The ‘Dilwale’ director further added, “Special effects in the film are done by Ajay Devgn’s Company. And though Ranveer never shows off but he is a very good scriptwriter as the basic concept of the ad was also by Ranveer.”

On the career front, Ranveer Singh has Aditya Chopra’s ‘Befikre’ to hit the theaters and will apparently start work on Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Padmavati’.
