When Shiamak Davar was called Abhishek Bachchan by a news agency

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Shah Rukh Khan were among the many Bollywood celebrities who had attended the royal dinner to welcome the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, i. e. Prince William and his wife Kate Middleton. The charity gala dinner was held at Taj Mahal Palace Hotel. The royal couple was on a royal visit to India and Bhutan. They had paid their respect to the martyrs of Taj terrorist attack before attending the gala.

News agencies have faced flak on mistaking one celebrity for another many a times in the past. Recently, Priyanka Chopra was mistaken for Yukta Mookhey while Deepika Padukone was tagged as a female companion on being clicked with tennis player Novak Djokovic. Now we have ace choreographer Shiamak Davar being mistaken for Abhishek Bachchan as he stood beside Aishwarya Rai for a picture at the gala event.

A popular news agency is a culprit behind this gaffe. They had captioned the image as ‘Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan arrive at a Bollywood Inspired Charity Gala at the Taj Mahal Palace Hotel during the royal visit to India and Bhutan on April 10, 2016, in Mumbai, India’. But in the image, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was seen walking with Shiamak Davar along her side.

Aishwarya Rai is at present busy with Omung Kumar helmed biopic ‘Sarbjit’ that will soon be hitting the screens, and Karan Johar’s romantic drama ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ that also stars Ranbir Kapoor, Anushka Sharma and Fawad Khan.
