Bollywood’s alleged couple Alia Bhatt and Sidharth Malhotra have been signed up for ‘Aashiqui 3’. These rumours had gained credence when Mukesh Bhatt had gone on print to say that the two will be soon coming on board the successful franchise. But contrary to rumours, filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt has revealed that the possibility is still far from being true as Alia and Sidharth have not signed up for it.
Alia Bhatt’s father and successful filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt said, “I don’t think you can say that they are anyway official close to putting their pen on paper to say yes to that (film). It is an incorrect assumption to say that they are a part of ‘Aashiqui 3’.”
He further added that, “We are still far away from giving ‘Aashiqui 3’, what is called, any serious thought. There is a franchise that we are committed to, but we don’t know when everything will go in the right direction. But i can say that the fourth part of ‘Murder’ another hit franchise is definitely in the making. ‘Murder 4’ is a certainty which will definitely come. It is a very lucrative franchise for us. You should be certainly looking forward to that.”
The ‘Aashiqui’ franchise started with the Rahul Bhatt and Anu Agarwal starrer that went on to be an iconic film. It was followed by the second part that had Shraddha Kapoor and Aditya Roy Kapur in the lead. At present Mahesh Bhatt is gearing up for the release of his supernatural thriller ‘Raaz Reboot’ that stars Emraan Hashmi, Kriti Kharbanda and Gaurav Gera.
