Vidya Balan donates money to build toilets!

Actress Vidya Balan is one woman of substance, who has always contributed to the society in a great way. It’s a known fact that Vidya has been a brand ambassador for sanitation in India and has been involved in spreading awareness about hygiene and sanitation facilities in the country. Now we hear that Vidya has gone a step ahead and has donated Rs 5 lakhs to build toilets.

Last week, Vidya was conferred with the ‘Woman Icon of the Year’ award and was rewarded an amount of Rs 5 lakhs for her fabulous contribution to Indian cinema.

So according to latest reports, Vidya has donated the amount for the welfare of sanitation amenities in our country. She donated the money to ‘Swades Foundation’ that has been working to build toilets in various parts of rural India. The team of ‘Swades Foundation’ were extremely pleased and happy with this helpful gesture by the actress.
