“I only focus on my own work”: Deepika Padukone

Deepika Padukone has had a lovely 2015, with Imtiaz Ali’s ‘Tamasha’ & Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Bajirao Mastani’. Both the films earned her much critical appreciation as well as commercial success. With  a bouquet of confidence, she is heading towards a bright 2016 and we get to see her in Vin Diesel’s ‘XXX’ series soon! Success and fame absolutely pouring in! However, we have never heard Deepika discussing professional rivalry or competition with fellow B-town stars. When asked about it, this is what she answered.

“These things are irrelevant to me. My work, my state of mind, my health, my family and my friends are the only things that matter. Other than my work, everything else is irrelevant.”-she answered.

Doesn’t Bollywood always welcome an actor with nothing but strict competition, which eventually only grows? “That’s never been a thought in my mind. My focus is constantly on my own work, so it’s about what I have done before, what I am going to do next and how I am going to do better than what I did last.”- she answered.

That’s so like you, Deepika!
