“I respect Aamir, but India is the most tolerant country”: Vivek Oberoi

Actor Vivek Oberoi stated that he has great respect for Aamir Khan but also considers India world’s most tolerant country.

Aamir Khan’s statement on intolerance has taken the social media into storm and vivid reactions are pouring in. Recently in an event, Aamir stated that he was alarmed with a few incidents that took place in a row; he also said that his wife Kiran Rao would get worried sometimes and ask if they should move out of the country.

Eminent figures from Bollywood as well as laymen have come out lashing out on Aamir since his statement was out in the media. “I have a lot of respect for Aamir Khan and his body of work as an actor. My personal belief is that India is the most tolerant country in the world and has been for thousands of years. When the world was fighting in holy crusades, one religion versus another, we were learning to live with each other. How to create monuments, how to create cultural artefacts, paint, write poetries, celebrate each other,”- said Vivek, on the context.
