After going through a lot while battling cancer, actress Manisha Koirala is back in the world of Bollywood. The lady, who went missing from the glamour industry for quite some time, is all set to make a comeback to Bollywood with the film ‘Dear Maya’. The trailer of the film was unveiled recently by the makers and we were left stumped after witnessing Manisha in a de-glam avatar.
The story of ‘Dear Maya’ is of a lady who goes into isolation for almost 20 years by locking herself in a wrecked house. All this because she could not find love when she was young. A heart-wrenching story combined with Manisha’s excellent performance is what awaits us in the form of ‘Dear Maya’. So, we recently indulged in a conversation with the actress and she revealed how did she prepare for this role.
She stated, “To play this role, one had to become the character. If it meant to look ugly, unkempt, wrinkled and scary, then so be it. I wanted to do something other than just trying to look pretty and glamourous. I wanted to look the part’.
‘Dear Maya’ is slated to hit the theatres June 2. (Also Read: It was quite eerie to play Maya in ‘Dear Maya’, says Manisha Koirala)
