Irrfan Khan makes a dashing debut on Instagram, with a Jai-Veeru throwback

Actor Irrfan Khan is the latest celeb to have caught on to the frenzy of social media. He made an amazing debut on Instagram today. We say amazing, because he has shared a throwback picture of himself along with a friend reviving the iconic jodi of Jai-Veeru from ‘Sholay’. He has even aped the ‘Yeh Dosti’ pose of the movie bang on as he took us back to the era of legendary actors Amitabh Bachchan-Dharmendra. He has captioned the picture as, “This is our poster inspired by the #Sholay poster. #FilmyInfluence”

Well, this ain’t the only picture he has posted. There’s another picture uploaded by the actor, once again in throwback mode where we see a young Irrfan doing horse-riding. He has taken inspiration from the thespian actor, late Rakesh Khanna as he captions it, “Somebody told me that to be an actor you must know horse riding … so whenever I went to ride (or learn to ride – which I didn’t at that time), I made it a point that when I sat on the horse … my look would be inspired by Rajesh Khannaji …. 😉 Hero toh banna hi tha! #FilmyInfluence”

There’s one thing we are sure of right now. The actor has gone into the nostalgic mode and will be treating us to his old pictures, with references to some classic movies of the time.
