Is Sanjay Leela Bhansali afraid to clash with Shah Rukh Khan?

Filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s magnum opus ‘Bajirao Mastani‘ was all set to clash with Shah Rukh Khan starrer ‘Dilwale’ this December. ‘Bajrao Mastani’ starring Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra has now been pushed to next year.

Sanjay Leela Bhansali had announced that his film ‘Bajirao Masatni’will hit theaters on December 18th, when rumors of Shah Rukh Khan Kajol starrer too releasing on the same day surfaced. Bhansali decided to postpone the release date of his film. So from December 18, he has shifted the release date to early 2016.

Sources reveal, “In 2007, Sanjay Leela Bhansali had released his film ‘Saawariya’, with Shah Rukh Khan’s Om Shanti Om, The clash proved disastrous for Bhansali. Therefore this time around he is not taking any chances ofchallenging the Badshah of Bollywood head-on.

So this Christmas it is a clear run for Rohit Shetty’s ‘Dilwale’ starring Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol, Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon.
