Her last flick ‘Rock On 2’ received a lukewarm response at the box office. Shraddha Kapoor, however, is no more affected by that. She is in the ‘Haseena’ zone and is doing everything she can, to get into the character’s skin.
For those uninitiated, Shraddha plays the lead role in the biopic of Haseena Parkar, sister of infamous underworld racketeer Dawood Ibrahim. Haseena grew up in Nagpada (South Mumbai) and that is where the actress’ research began from.

“Haseena rose to prominence in the crime world after her husband Ibrahim Parkar was gunned down at a hotel in Nagpada. Shraddha has visited the hotel and had a cup of tea there. She wants to soak in the ambience of Nagpada where Haseena was brought up in, the school she went to and the people she met. Shraddha wants to be as clued-in to her character as possible. In a crowded place like Nagpada, it’s easy to blend in with the crowd in a burkha, hence the outfit,” a source told a leading daily.
This reminds us of Amitabh Bachchan, who wore a mask and roamed around across the streets of Delhi while shooting for ‘PINK’. An old house situated at Bhat Bazar in Mandvi, Mumbai saw Aamir Khan discretely staying there for a week when he was filming for wife Kirao Rao’s film ‘Dhobi Ghat’.
Will Shraddha’s hard work pay off well too? Let us just wait for the film to unfold.
