It’s a double win for Konkona Sensharma at New York Indian Film Festival

We have no second thoughts when we say that Konkona Sensharma is one of the most talented actresses of Bollywood. With films like ‘Page 3’, ‘Life In A Metro’, ‘Omkara’, ‘Wake up Sid’, ‘Atithi Tum Kab Jaoge’, ‘Ek Thi Daayan’, etc. she has made a mark in the industry. This year, she made her directorial debut with a film titled ‘A Death in the Gunj’ which is currently doing the rounds of film festivals. And at New York Indian Film Festival the actress-turned-filmmaker won two awards.

She won Best Director award for ‘A Death in the Gunj’ and Best Actress award for ‘Lipstick Under My Burkha’. Well, the latter is the same film which earlier was banned CBFC. Konkona on her Instagram account posted the picture of her two awards and wrote, “Goodbye New York! #bestdirector #bestactress.”
