Lately, director Ram Gopal Varma is in the headlines for his controversial comments on social networking site, Twitter. Many would remember that the director had commented on one of the pictures of Tiger Shroff saying, “Truly real men like Bruce Lee and ‘bindasbhidu’ (Tiger Shroff’s father Jackie Shroff’s Twitter handle) never pose in a ‘Urmliaish’ way.” [sic] After Tiger’s mother, Ayesha Shroff, and sister, Krishna Shroff reacted over his remark, his father Jackie Shroff has now chose to speak on the topic saying that he will not fight with Ram Gopal Varma on this issue.
Recently, Jackie Shroff had attended an event where he was asked about the same. To which he replied saying, “He spoke about my son but that doesn’t mean I will go and fight with him.”
Further, he was even asked about Varma’s insensitive remarks on Sunny Leone in his Women’s Day tweet, to which Jackie said, “He is a big boy. He knows what he is talking about… But I will not say such a thing about a lady. It’s his thinking.” [sic]
Talking about his comments on Women’s Day, RGV was slammed tremendously by Twitter police and later he also apologised for his remarks.
On the professional front, Jackie Shroff will be next seen on the silver screens in popular franchise ‘Sarkar 3’ which is helmed by director Ram Gopal Varma and sees megastar Amitabh Bachchan playing the titular part.
The film is slated to hit the silver screens on April 7, 2017 which is coincidentally also director Ram Gopal Varma’s birthday.
Quiet, resonant, and creative, he can be seen immersed in his own world, and puts in his heart and soul into the one passion that he has, Bollywood. His line for survival? Feel happy to be a part of it.
