John Abraham’s next to be a gritty action drama

Actor John Abraham, who was last seen in action flick ‘Force 2’, is now all set for another action drama.

The actor has been roped in by filmmaker Abhishek Sharma for his next, a gritty and gripping drama, titled ‘Shantivaan’. The shooting for the flick will kickstart next month. (Also Read: Video alert! Here’s a sneak peek into John Abraham’s swanky new car)

A source informs, “It’s a hard-hitting, gripping action drama based on the second Indian nuclear test done in India — Pokhran-II — a series of five nuclear bomb test explosions conducted by India at the Indian Army’s Pokhran Test Range in (1998).”

Abhishek Sharma had earlier directed Akshay Kumar’s ‘The Shaukeens’ and also the comic satires ‘Tere Bin Laden’ and ‘Tere Bin Laden: Dead or Alive’.

It is said that when Abhishek narrated the script to John, the actor loved the concept.

The female lead and rest of the details of the venture are still awaited.
