It’s been a few days since the release of the teaser of superstar Salman Khan‘s much-anticipated film ‘Tubelight’. But we still can’t get over the charming innocence portrayed by Salman’s character Laxman, in it. It is clearly something that Salman has never played before. And recently, filmmaker Kabir Khan shared his experience and a little bit of an insight on the actor’s character in this film.
While talking to media about it, Kabir Khan said, “I have done three films with him and this time he has pushed the boundaries in terms of craft and acting. In whatever different looks that you have seen so far of Salman for ‘Tubelight’, all I can say is that he is playing a very different character this time. It is a character that he has never played in his career so far. It is a very challenging character.” [sic] (Also Read: Did you notice late Om Puri’s appearance in Salman Khan’s ‘Tubelight’ teaser?)
But, Salman was ready to take up this challenge as a performer.
“When I had narrated him the character I had told him it’s extremely challenging and he had said he is up for the challenge,” added the ‘Kabul Express’ director.
Further, he also spoke about the onscreen chemistry shared between Salman Khan and his brother Sohail Khan, as the two would be seen playing siblings in the film as well. He said, “The tuning was good. Both are brothers and they love each other. It was easy for me to capture that emotion of love on screen as they share a great bond in real life. It is a special role for Sohail. I had a great time working with them both.” [sic]
‘Tubelight’ marks the debut of Chinese actress Zhu Zhu and child actor Matin Rey Tangu. The film is slated to hit the screens on June 23, 2017.
Quiet, resonant, and creative, he can be seen immersed in his own world, and puts in his heart and soul into the one passion that he has, Bollywood. His line for survival? Feel happy to be a part of it.
