Actress Kangana Ranaut recently attended an event as the guest of honour to launch Shirish Kunder’s short film ‘Kriti’. Post launch during an interaction with the press, Kangana was asked what she felt about Salman Khan’s ‘rape’ remark. Here’s what she had to say…

“It is of course a horrible thing to say. But let’s not point fingers at others and feel greater about ourselves. I agree with what Salim uncle (Salim Khan, Salman Khan’s father) said. We all are sorry about it,” Kangana said.

Earlier during an interview about his upcoming release ‘Sultan’, Salman said shooting for Sultan was so gruelling that it made him feel like a ‘raped woman’. It soon stirred up a huge controversy, with several well-known personalities like singer Sona Mahapatra, celebrity hair stylist Sapna Bhavnani and critic Raja Sen taking a stand against him on social media. However, it was also revealed that soon after making the remark, Salman acknowledged that he should not have said so.

On the professional front, ‘Sultan’ which also stars Anushka Sharma as the female lead will release on July 6.
