Kangana Ranaut on her scenes being cut in ‘Rangoon’: All my hopes were shattered

Kangana Ranaut, Saif Ali Khan and Shahid Kapoor-starrer ‘Rangoon’ has hit the screens today. A few scenes of Kangana have been edited out from the film. The actress said that they were her top-notch scenes, and when she came to know about it all her hopes were shattered.

When Kangana was asked about the film’s starcast getting praises for their performance, the actress said, “I didn’t think (I’ll be appreciated this much). Many of my favourite scenes, which were important for my graph, were chopped off. I prepare my character’s graph in a linear pattern and when I saw the film, Vishal sir explained why he cut those scenes.”

However, she added that the editing was fair and important for the movie. Kangana said, “Of course it was a very legitimate thing to do. But when I thought that several top-notch scenes of my graph have been cut, all my hopes were shattered. I thought now my work will be so-so, it won’t be appreciated that much. ‘Rangoon’ has received mixed reviews from the critics, but unfortunately, the film has taken a very slow start at the box office.
