Kangana Ranaut to don the director’s hat soon

Kangana Ranaut is receiving rave reviews for her stellar act in ‘Rangoon’. Although the film isn’t great at the box office, it has surely own the critics’ heart for its performances and a gripping story.

And now, Kangana is likely to venture in direction soon. She has always had plans of getting behind the camera, and the time is probably near. Kangana will reportedly start working in her very first directorial, soon after she wraps the shoot of ‘Rani Lakshmibai’.

“‘Rangoon’ has released and her next film ‘Simran’, will be arriving in September this year. Meanwhile, there are reports that her long-standing project ‘Rani Lakshmibai’ is now being revived. Once she’s done with this Ketan Mehta film, she will head straight into her directorial venture. That would be sometime next year,” a source told DNA.

Her first directorial is going to be a biopic. However, she has not decided who the inspiration will be. “That’s correct, I need growth in some other dimension now. A film of mine has to be something else. The role that I play has to be something remarkable. I am looking at a step ahead and direction is the next logical thing for me. To direct a biopic next is something that is happening for sure,” Kangana confirmed to the newspaper.

Presumably, she would cast herself in the lead. Rest, let us just wait and see!
