Actress Kangana Ranaut‘s controversy over the ‘Simran’ movie credit made further headlines when Vidya Balan took an indirect dig at her with her social media post.

For those uninitiated, Kangana Ranaut demanded additional credit as the writer of ‘Simran’ movie and when the poster released, her name appeared before writer Apurva Asrani’s name in the writing credits. This enraged Asrani who took to his social media page and expressed his displeasure over the same. Director Hansal Mehta wasn’t pleased and gave it back to Asrani and so did Kangana. Post this, we saw Vidya Balan’s Instagram post wherein she was seen holding a fake customised credit card in her hand and the contents on the card read, “Valid In All Suresh Triveni Films.” She captioned it as, “Who needs credit when your director gifts you this card ?!! # Thankoo Suresh Triveni.” So, Vidya indirectly took a dig at Kangana Ranaut over her row for the credits. And the director of her movie ‘Tumhari Sulu’ also joined in the conversation along with ‘Simran’ writer-editor Apurva Asrani. Well, all of them had a good laugh over Kangana’s additional credit controversy, so everybody was expecting something really aggressive from Kangana’s side.

But to everyone’s surprise, the actress chose to underplay it and not give much heed to it as she replied to Pinkvilla, “Haha I read about that. Vidya is a dear friend and honestly, I am not a thin-skinned person when it comes to people taking digs or jibes at me.” That was totally an unexpected one from Kangana.

Meanwhile, Kangana has ‘Manikarnika: The Queen Of Jhansi’ in her kitty apart from ‘Simran’, whereas Vidya Balan will be seen essaying the role of an RJ in Suresh Triveni’s ‘Tumhari Sulu’.
