Kangana Ranaut is known to speak out her mind in public. She is one actress who has always supported women empowerment and is often seen educating people about the same. She again spoke out about the same, and this time, she feels that women have finally started to take over different roles in the film industry, which is commendable.
While being present at an event, the actress recalled how when she started her career 10 years ago, there were hardly any female editors or assistant directors. But that has changed for the better. She says, “When I started ten years ago, it used to be rare to find a lady assistant director or a woman editor…but if you go to a film set, it’s completely taken over by women now. So these are the women who are inspiring these stories (of women empowerment).”
When asked whether people today are more open about girls wearing short clothes, she adds, “At least we have put across to people with this thinking that if you want to treat a girl child differently than a male child or you think the girl’s character is just about the length of her trousers or skirt, then I think a person deep down should know that how we are judging this person.”
Don’t just agree with each point of hers?
