Karan Johar: Have Been at a shaadi ka mandap when the love of my life was getting married

Director-producer Karan Johar embraced a new chapter of life as he became father to twins Yash and Roohi through surrogacy. In a statement, he said that his professional commitments would now take a backseat and he was ready for it.

His friends, colleagues and fans showered his blessings over him acquiring parenthood. However, Karan has been at receiving end of a lot of flack for a different sexual orientation. Sad enough, his fatherhood isn’t spared of the hatred as well.

At the India Today Conclave, Karan spoke at length about his personal crisis and how he had to cope with the most difficult situations. (Also Read: Karan Johar has a special gift planned for his twins)

“I have been at a shaadi ka mandap when the love of my life was getting married to somebody else… When it happens to you, you feel like you can’t get over what’s happening to you.” he said.

In a heart-melting statement, he further stated he was more of a mother and less of a father to his kids.
