Filmmaker Karan Johar has lauded Marathi movie ‘Sairat’ and says he has a lot of respect for the film.

“Still reeling from the tremendous impact of ‘Sairat’…saw it last night and woke up with a heavy heart and so much respect for the film,” Karan tweeted.
The film, which released on April 29, has been getting a lot of critical acclaim for the portrayal of the relationship between two children who face several challenges before eloping from the village.
‘Sairat’ is Nagraj Manjule’s second feature movie after ‘Fandry’.
