Kareena Kapoor Khan becomes the face of VHP’s ‘love jihad’ campaign

Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor Khan has become the face of VHP’s Love Jihad campign’. Recently morphed pictures of the Diva was seen on a VHP magazine Himalaya Dhwani’s cover page. The morphed picture has already gone viral on the social media. VHP young women wing Durga Vahini has launched a campaign of reconverting Hindu girls married to Muslim boys.

In the latest issue of Himalaya Dhwani, that is brought out by Vahini’s Northern India regional coordinator Rajni Thukral. The cover page has Kareena Kapoor Khan’s morphed picture that is half covered with a naqab and the other half obscuring a bindi on her forehead and sindoor in her hair. With a caption of “Conversion of nationality through religious conversion”.

Thukral justified the reason as to why he choose Kareena. He said, “She is a celebrity. The youth try to emulate celebrities. They think if she can do so, why not us? There has been much debate on love jihad and conversions. The nation was divided and Pakistan was created because of conversions. If a girl gets caught in love jihad and becomes Muslim by mistake and now wants to return to her original faith, isn’t it her right? It’s strange that some parties claiming to be secular call this conversion.”

The Diva’s husband actor Saif Ali Khan has expressed disapproval of the whole plot and also condemned it.

VHP has even said that Kareena Kapoor Khan is free to sue them if she so feels.
