Ever since Kareena Kapoor Khan gave birth to a baby boy in December, the lady has not taken a break. She has been unstoppable and already on the toes with her work commitments in tow. This has left many people questioning her loyalty as a mother to her baby Taimur. People even speculated to the extent that she was accused of not spending much time with her baby boy. And then came Shahid Kapoor’s wife Mira’s comments on her baby Misha which added more fuel to fire. Mira said that her baby is not a puppy and she wants to be by her baby’s side all the time. This irked many working mothers and pet mothers and Mira faced their ire on social media. However, Kareena was silent. But now, Bebo has made a comeback to Mira’s comments on parenthood, and what a reply it is. Take a look.
So, in an interview with Bombay Times, Bebo said, “What kind of a mother I am is something that will unfold with time. I will not scream from rooftops about experiencing motherhood or how much I love Taimur. There’s always the pressure of being judged, no matter what you do. It’s about how you deal with it. Every pregnancy and every mother’s journey with her child during those nine months and afterwards is different. You can’t draw parallels. No one out there really knows me or what I am feeling at a given time. How can anyone decide on my behalf whether I am supposed to feel depressed or if I can step out before 45 days? If I’m spoken about like that, what would it be like for other women?”
Subtle and yet strong, Kareena’s views are certainly mature. We believe that Bebo makes a pretty strong point with her comments on parenthood.
On the work front, Kareena will be seen in Shashanka Ghosh’s ‘Veerey Di Wedding’ that also stars Sonam Kapoor, Swara Bhaskar in main roles.
