Karisma Kapoor files dowry harassment case against estranged husband Sunjay Kapoor

The battle of divorce between actress Karisma Kapoor and her estranged husband Sunjay Kapoor seems to get uglier by day. According to a report in Mid-Day, the actress has filed a case of dowry harassment against Sunjay and his mother Rani Sunder Kapur. The FIR was registered by Khar Police where Karisma has stated that the two have caused repeated mental tortures on her.

The case which originally started as a divorce plea has taken unexpected turns time and again. Earlier, both Karisma & Sunjay had agreed to take mutual custody of their children. However, later Karisma withdrew her consent on the children’s mutual custody, showing Sunjay’s failure to meet certain  monetary commitments as mentioned in the terms. Sunjay, on the other hand, slammed Karisma claiming that she had married him for money and has failed to perform as a good mother, wife and daughter-in-law.

The next hearing of the case is scheduled on March 3.
