Veeram in BRICS

Kunal Kapoor starrer ‘Veeram’ has been in the news ever since the first look of the film has been unveiled. The actor’s bulked up body has been the talk of the town. Now, here’s one more interesting piece of news about the film. The movie will be screened at BRICS festival this year which will take place from September 2 to September 6 in New Delhi.

In the festival, 20 movies, that is four movies from each of the five countries – Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa will be screened. The idea of the festival is to bring together people from different countries and let them explore each others cultures.

Talking about it, Kunal said, “I’m very excited that we are premiering at the first BRICS Film Festival. We’ve put a lot of effort into making this film and I’m really looking forward to seeing how the audience reacts to it.”

‘Veeram’ which is a trilingual (Hindi, English and Malayalam) film, is set in the 13th century of Kerala and is about a man named Chandu Chekavar. In those days, Chekavars used to be skilled warriors and took part into mortal combat on behalf of noble men.

Kunal Kapoor will be back on the silver screen after a long time. Let’s see how it fares for him. The movie, however, has already started creating buzz, thanks to Kunal’s look, and its unique concept.
