Madhuri Dixit is a name of a performer who ruled many hearts through her acting and dancing skills. Giving many solo hit dance numbers in Bollywood, she is considered to be a dancing diva. One of her iconic songs is ‘Dola re,’ where she shared the screen space with Miss World Aishwarya Rai Bachchan with a marvelous choreography of Saroj Khan, whom she considers as a teacher. With many comparisons drawn on her ‘Devdas’ track with a current song featuring two actresses again in one frame, Let us know what she has to say about it.
‘Pinga’ is a song in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s upcoming ‘Bajirao Mastani’ featuring Priyanka Chopra and Deepika Padukone together in one frame as the ‘Dhak Dhak’ girl had done with Aishwarya Bachchan on ‘Dola Re’ song in their film ‘Devdas.’ Both songs share many similarities, like the sharing screen space of two actresses who have never worked together on screen. Performing the song on the occasion of a festival or traditional ritual time for the same person they love. The Choreography shows a faceoff between the two actresses in both songs. Sanjay Leela Bhansali being the director of both the films are the points which is making the audience remember ‘Dola Re’ by seeing ‘Pinga.’
Madhuri Dixit commented on this saying, “I would say don’t make comparisons and enjoy for what it is. I haven’t seen the song yet as I am travelling.”
“I am sure they would have done a great job as it is Deepika and Priyanka. I would say just enjoy for what it is. They also have worked hard for sure on dance,” she added saying.
Sanjay Leela Bhansali perhaps wanted to create another unique moment like ‘Dola re’ which made him produce a song like ‘Pinga’ in this film. With ‘Bajirao Mastani’ yet to release, hope it creates the same magic like ‘Dola Re’ did for ‘Devdas.’
The film is slated to release on December 18, 2015 with Ranveer Singh playing the lead actor in it.
