Screen-writer Mayur Puri will pen the dialogues of the Hindi version of the upcoming Hollywood film ‘Captain America: Civil War’.
After the success of ‘ABCD’ film franchise and writing dialogues of Hindi version of ‘The Jungle Book’, Disney India and Puri have once again collaborated for the Hindi version of ‘Captain America: Civil War’, wherein actor Varun Dhawan will be lending his voice for Steve Rogers aka Captain America.
“With ‘The Jungle Book’, I ticked a wish on my bucket list and now comes another exceptional opportunity – to write a superhero film. It’s very thrilling for a writer to work on such diverse range of scripts in such a short span of time,” Puri said in a statement.
He added: “This is a coveted opportunity for me because all the previous associations with the studio have been hit among critics and audience. At the same time it’s a greater challenge as well, because ‘with great appreciation come greater responsibilities’.”
The writer also hopes he continues “the magic” with the forthcoming film.
Talking about the film, he said: “The lines of the Hindi version of Marvel’s superhero franchise will retain the original essence but be tweaked to bring out the Indian humour and flavour. The challenges of adapting this film are completely different from anything I’ve done before and I’m committed to make it an unforgettable movie experience for the Hindi audience.”
The superhero team-up movie with Robert Downey Jr as Iron Man and Chris Evans as Captain America will release in India and the US on May 6.
