Nagesh Kukunoor’s ‘Dhanak’ is a beautiful tale of two siblings, tied with love and determined to never leave each other’s hand. What happens to a little blind boy and his elder sister set off from a village in Rajasthan to meet their favourite superstar is a magical and heartwarming story!
Nagesh Kukunoor is known for his heart-warming humane stories. This time, ‘Dhanak’ is going to be adapted into a novel and will be penned by Anushka Raishankar, a renowned children’s author. Given how good stories (in written and cinematic form) are so crucial for the intellectual growth of children, this is certainly a move to be welcomed. Besides, ‘Dhanak’ is probably India’s first children film which will be executed as a novel.
Featuring Krrish Chhabaria and Hetal Gada, ‘Dhanak’ hits the theatres on June 17.
