The 63rd National Film Awards were conferred to the winners yesterday (May 3) in Delhi at Vigyaan Bhavan with a gracious ceremony. Among the winners who were honoured with the award, were Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan and actress Kangana Ranaut.
Amitabh Bachchan has bagged the award for Shoojit Sircar’s ‘Piku’ while for Kangana, it is her third National Award in the ‘Best Actress’ Category for ‘Tanu Weds Manu Returns’; ‘Fashion’ and ‘Queen’ being the first two.
President Pranab Mukherjee handed the awards over to the winners. Apart from Bachchan and Kangana, the list of awardees also included filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali, filmmaker-choreographer Remo D’souza, filmmaker Neeraj Ghaywan, singer Monali Thakur and more.
