Nawazuddin Siddiqui on working with Shah Rukh Khan: There was no question of overshadowing

Ever since the trailer of Shah Rukh Khan-starrer ‘Raees’ made it online, people have been going gaga over the performances of the actors in the promo. Apart from Shah Rukh, the film also stars Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Mahira Khan in the lead roles.

Nawaz, who will be seen playing a cop in the film recently shared his experience of working with the superstar. He said, “It was amazing shooting with Shah Rukh Khan. We have a lot of scenes together and I enjoyed doing it because if you have a co-actor who is genuinely and honestly reacting then half of your job is done. As you say, acting is a give and take relationship.”

When asked whether his performance in the film got overshadowed by SRK’s character, he said, “This not even Shah Rukh wanted. My character has been given proper respect. While doing the scenes together, we were not Nawaz or Shah Rukh. He was Raees and I was Mazumdar. There was no question of overshadowing. You’ll see the honesty between us onscreen.”
