Never heard azaan in morning, says Sonu Nigam’s neighbour actress Shraddha Das

Controversies surrounding Sonu Nigam‘s remarks over early morning Azaan do not seem to end. A few days back, one morning he took to Twitter and slammed the early morning Azaan carried out through loudspeakers for waking up the ones who do not follow Islam.

After his tweets, he landed himself amid negative reactions from all corners. The singer called a press conference at his residence and clarified his stand. He also shaved off his head, after a cleric from Bengal announced a reward of Rs 10 lakh to anyone who shaves his head, puts a shoe garland around his neck and makes him tour the country.

Bollywood stands divided in this entire controversy. However, the latest one to speak up on this is actress Shraddha Das. Shraddha, who lives in the same vicinity with Sonu in Versova, took to Facebook and wrote that she has never heard Azaan in the morning. “I live right next to him, but strangely I have never heard the azaan in the morning at my place. It is hardly audible. I hear he just shaved his head and for the first time there is so much traffic outside our homes,” her Facebook post read. Probably scared of controversies, she later deleted the post.

Hmm…this got us thinking. Does Sonu own two homes in that case? Or is it that the intensity of the problem is far less than what he is saying? We know not!
