Nitesh Tiwari’s last film ‘Dangal’ took the box office by storm and turned out to be a huge critical success as well. It also shed lights on the little known brave stories of Mahavir Singh Phogat and daughters Geeta and Babita Phogat.
Moving on, Tiwari is now eyeing a novel which he wants to turn into a film. The book in talks is “How I Braved Anu Aunty & Co-Founded a Million Dollar Company”, a bestselling semi-autobiographical work penned down by Varun Aggarwal, an entrepreneur. The story is youth-oriented and tends to break unfair obsession and stereotypes pertaining to ‘prestigious’ professions like doctors, engineers, management scholars and more, who, in no way, can perceive the idea of ‘start ups’ well, Therefore, the very familiar clash begins!
The film will be jointly produced by Ronney Screwvala and Siddharth Roy Kapur. “We look forward to making a film that humorously explores the challenges of growing up in today’s India, where the traditional medicine-MBA-engineering templates of the earlier generation are competing with the excitement of ‘starting-up’ on your own,” a spokesperson from the production house stated.
