Nowadays the biggest stress for a filmmaker is that to get the film past CBFC. Our over strict CBFC prefers using their scissors even for films that don’t need any cuts. But, the makers of ‘Dishoom’ can breathe a sigh of relief as their film has been cleared with a ‘U/A’ certificate and that too without any cuts.
A source from the CBFC said, “It’s actually a fun film and we thought it warranted a ‘U’ since kids would love Varun Dhawan’s banter with John Abraham. But the film has Jacqueline Fernandez providing oomph. And the theme of betting in cricket is not suitable for kids.”
There’s not even a single cut that has been asked by CBFC. The source said, “Like his pal Salman Khan, Sajid Nadiadwala’s cinema is always freed of vulgarity. These two Bollywood entertainers show how films can be entertaining without crossing into crassness.”
The movie which is directed by Rohit Dhawan releases on July 29th.
