Ohh No! Katrina Kaif not a part of Prakash Jha’s Raajneeti 2′?

In the year 2010, Katrina Kaif along with her then boyfriend Ranbir Kapoor, gave a power packed performance in a film called ‘Raajneeti.’ As the name suggest, the film had a backdrop of politics with Katrina and Ranbir indulging in the ugly game of power and the film was a superhit. But, for all those who loved Katrina’s politician avatar in ‘Raajneeti,’ this bit of news might seem disappointing. Unfortunately, Kat will not be a part of the film’s sequel.

Director Prakash Jha, in his latest interview, said that he is working on the second installment of the film but it might not feature Katrina Kaif in the leading role. He was quoted saying, “Katrina is part of Raajneeti but I don’t know if the new story will suit her, whether she will be a part of it or if she wants to do it. Things are uncertain. We will definitely want her to be. But at the same time, if the character becomes completely different or something like that then…”

The ace director who is currently bracing himself for his soon to be released film ‘Jai Gangaajal’ further said that ‘Raajneeti 2’ is in it’s initial stage. According to him, the current scenario of politics is very interesting and hence he would like to structure the film accordingly.

Talking about Katrina Kaif, she is busy shooting for her upcoming films ‘Jagga Jasoos’ and  ‘Baar Baar Dekho.’
