Om Puri’s last wish was to meet his son, reveals producer Khalid Kidwai

The sudden demise of veteran actor Om Puri has left everyone puzzled as the cause of his death is not known yet. Even the post mortem report could not state the actual reason of his death. Now, Producer Khalid Kidwai has revealed the details about Om Puri’s last wish. As per the producer, all that Om Puri wanted to do is meet his son Ishan, but unfortunately that did not happen.

Khalid Kidwai was quoted saying, “Om Puri wanted to meet his son Ishan on Thursday evening. So we (Kidwai and Om Puri) went to Trishul building where his ex-wife Nandita lives with Ishan but were unable to meet them as both Nandita and Ishan had gone for a party. Om Puri then had an argument over the phone with Nandita and asked them to come soon as he wanted to meet his son.”

Further Kidwai states, “He poured a drink in his glass and waited for almost 45 minutes at Nandita’s flat. But when they did not turn up, he took the glass and liquor bottle and started drinking in the car. After finishing the drink, we left.”

Om Puri’s good friend Raza Murad too had revealed that the actor was facing a lot of emotional trauma because of his unstable life and hence, he has taken solace in alcohol.
