Pamela Chopra and Rani Mukerji

Late producer/director, Yash Chopra, who was the brain behind Yash Raj Studios, gave us many iconic movies like ‘Kabhi Kabhi,’ ‘Darr,’ ‘Lamhe,’ ‘Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenga’ and many more.

The director, who was also a humble person and cared for his team a lot, took his last breath on 21st October, 2012 and it is his wife, Pamela Chopra,along with daughter-in-law Rani Mukerji, who is taking his legacy forward. Pamela has reportedly kept in touch with all the technicians from Yash Chopra’s team. According to an insider, “While a few have passed away some like sound recordist Anuj Mathur are still alive. She invites them and their families to the studio every Saturday and screens new films for them.”

The source adds, “Rani accompanies her to these screenings and food is served post the show. Pamela is even in touch with the families of those technicians who have passed away and continues to maintain the same rapport with them as Yash Chopra had.”

Rani is married to Yash and Pamela Chopra’s elder son, director Aditya Chopra. The two have a daughter together, named Adira.
