Post Sonam Kapoor’s ugly Twitter spat with Abhay Deol, papa Anil Kapoor speaks up

Actor Abhay Deol picked up celebs endorsing fairness cream brands in his Facebook posts and the posts included celebs like Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, Sonam Kapoor, Vidya Balan, Shahid Kapoor, Sidharth Malhotra, Yami Gautam and so on.

His ‘Aisha’ co-star Sonam Kapoor wasn’t the one to take things lying low, so she dug out his actress-cousin Esha Deol’s fairness ad picture and put it up on Twitter. Of course, the ramifications weren’t good as Sonam got heavily trolled and ultimately deleted the tweet. Later, Abhay Deol spoke up on the issue once again and said that instead of focusing on his and Sonam’s Twitter spat, one should focus on the real issue in hand.

Now, father Anil Kapoor has spoken up in support of his daughter while casting his ballot for the forthcoming IIFA  Awards. He was quizzed about Sonam’s tweets against Abhay Deol. Here’s what he said, “These are really small things and I let my kids deal with their matters. Let the kids handle this on their own. Sonam will be the right person to speak about it and I would rather talk about health or any crucial issue. Sonam can handle these things very well.”
