Priyanka Chopra and Katrina Kaif’s wordplay on Instagram is not to be missed

Actress Katrina Kaif is on the receiving end of fabulous welcomes, ever since she has made her debut on Instagram, last week. From Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, Ranveer Singh, Varun Dhawan, Alia Bhatt to Arjun Kapoor, everybody has been posting some quirky and fun welcome posts for the actress. Now, her contemporary, Priyanka Chopra, has welcomed Katrina on Instagram with a hilarious post. Well, if you have seen the recently released ‘Baywatch’ trailer, then in the Hindi version, you would have seen Priyanka’s character utter the dialogue, “Chal na, Katrina!” Well, it was all in good jest, the actress has now used that particular line to welcome Katrina on Instagram. She put up the scene where she says those lines followed by a pretty picture of Katrina. She has captioned it as, “Finally!! Welcoming the inimitable @katrinakaif to Instagram #chalnaKatrina into the mad world of social! Hope it’s a fun adventure! Xoxo love and luck always.” Here have a look:

Katrina being a sweetheart, had her reply ready as she wrote, “Thank you my former kathak dancing partner, perhaps we shall dance again together soon.” Check out her reply here:

Well, yes! Both Priyanka and Katrina have learnt Kathak from dance maestro Veeru Krishnan for many years now. And talking about the line, “Chal na, Katrina!”, Peecee had told a leading news channel, “I couldn’t think of anyone else. Britney is such a huge star. So I had to find a modern day icon. I think Katrina Kaif is a major icon of Hindi cinema and I really really like her. This was my idea and I thought that it would be a fun replacement, and Katrina was really cool about it. I texted her before the trailer came out and she was like ‘yeah, of course.’ So I think she obviously saw the humour in it. I am really glad it has become so popular, it’s my girl love homage to Katrina.”
