Priyanka Chopra : If my husband cheated on me, I would walk out

Verstile actress Priyanka Chopra has made India proud with her depiction of Alex Parrish on American Television series Quantico. Her recent historical romance ‘Bajirao Mastani’ too is minting at the boxoffic. The beauty who is playing the role of Kashibai wife to Maratha warrior Peshwa Bajirao says she doesn’t relate to Kashi from the movie, yet loved playing the character.

PeeCee is receiving rave reviews for her performance as Kashibai, a woman whose husband the Peshwa is in love with his other wife Mastani.

Priyanka said, “I always knew Kashi was an amazing role, I was the first person to be cast for the film. I remember when I was doing Mary Kom, Sanjay sir said she won’t do it, and we discussed it. For me what was wonderful about Kashi was that am a greedy Sanjay Bhansali fan, am a believer in his world and cinema. I used to look forward to coming on the set all dressed up as Kashi. He throws googlys, and I am an actor who loves hitting a six when its thrown at me. He has such a beautiful understanding of silences and Kashi has no words, so silences were all that I had, my eyes and face, it was like Jhilmil, there wasn’t much she could say it was the 1700′s, so it was a welcome challenge.”

She further added that, “I did not agree with the choices Kashi made. To play a character that I don’t agree with, as a woman if my husband fell in love with someone else I would say thank you very much, goodbye! I am out! Kashi did that in her own way also, she said I love you enough to see you happy, if you are happy with her please go just don’t come back to my door. Hats off to Sanjay sir for giving her such a strong voice.”

Priyanka Chopra as Kashibai will be remebered for a long time to come.
