Rajkummar Rao on his next venture 'Newton'

Coming out of his “Aligarh” mould, Rajkummar Rao has embarked on a new cinematic journey to bring alive “Newton” on the silver screen. He will be shooting in an area with “almost no network”.

The actor, who found fame with critically-acclaimed films like “Shahid”, “Citylights” and “Queen”, is earning accolades for portraying a journalist in Hansal Mehta’s reality drama.

Amid all the appreciation, Rajkummar says it’s time to go incognito and will be shooting in a no-network area for black comedy “Newton”, which is directed by Amit Masurkar.

“In the midst of all the happy times with #Aligarh. I’m out for a month now. A new journey awaits with almost no network. Shooting time. Let’s meet #Newton,” Rajkummar tweeted.

In “Aligarh”, his character picks up the pen to narrate the story of late Aligarh Muslim University academician Shrinivas Ramchandra Siras, who was suspended from his job as a professor because of his sexual orientation.
