The current topic of discussion that has garnered everyone’s attention is that of a ‘Jack n Jones’ ad featuring Ranveer Singh being sexist. The brand and the star are being slammed on social media for running a campaign that apparently has a sexist take. A hoarding featuring Ranveer with a girl on his shoulder and tagline ‘Don’t hold back, take your work home’ has irked many and later, after a lot of chaos, the brand has now withdrawn the campaign. Following the outcry, Ranveer too has extended an apology to all affected.
Circulated by fan pages, the apology reads,
Unconditional apology, not passing the buck onto the brand and genuine regret ! Can we now let bygones be bygones #JackNJones ? pic.twitter.com/HI879rrR8U
