Ranveer Singh – I did not want my mum to watch ‘Bajirao Mastani’

Bollywood brat Ranveer Singh is gaining accolades for his performance as Peshwa Bajirao in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s recent release. The actor has surpassed expectations with his mind blowing performance in the historical romance. Bajirao Mastani has Ranveer romancing Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra.

Recently Ranveer Singh made a shocking confession that he did not want his mother to watch ‘Bajirao Mastani’. The reason behind it is truly endearing. It seems the actors mother does not like to see her son dying onscreen, as Ranveer dies in the film he did not want his mother to go through that emotional trauma.

Ranveer said, “I did not want my mum to watch Bajirao in the first week itself. But she insisted and watched the film with a few friends and family members. But after the film got over she was literally numb and hugged me for almost half an hour. I had to give her a lot of pappies (kisses) and jhappies (hugs). She, of course, does not like to see me die in films. Let’s hope that in my next film I survive.”

‘Bajirao Mastani’ released on December 18, 2015 and has been doing wonders at the box office.
