Ranveer Singh starts working on ‘Padmavati’

There has been no official confirmation from director Sanjay Leela Bhansali regarding his next ‘Padmavati’ or even its starcast. While, we are still waiting for the same, Ranveer Singh, who is said to be the male lead in the movie, has already started his work on it.

Turns out, Ranveer wants to know everything about his character of Allauhudin Khilji in ‘Padmavati’ and thus has been doing a thorough research for the role. A source close to the actor tells an entertainment portal, “Ranveer believes in researching and learning about his character very well before he begins work. This time, he has asked those in his close knit circle who are well versed with history to help him scout for work of researchers and historians on Allahudin Khilji— be it in form of manuals, scriptures or any research material. Whenever he is not shooting, he is busy utilising that time in getting to the skin of the character.”

The movie is said to have Deepika Padukone as the female lead and rumours has it that Shahid Kapoor might be roped in for the role of Deepika’s husband in the movie.
