This is the reason why Sanjay Leela Bhansali is not announcing the cast of ‘Padmavati’

We have heard a lot about Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s next directorial ‘Padmavati’. It is said that the director’s favourites Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone have been roped in for the film. The former will be seen as Sultan Alauddin Khilji and the latter will be playing Rani Padmavati.  However, it is not yet officially announced. It’s been a few weeks now since the movie has been announced, but the officially confirmation of the cast is yet to be made. According to an entertainment web portal, the director is not announcing the cast of the film as he is yet to finalize the actor who will be playing the role of Padmavati’s husband Raja Rawal Ratan Singh.

If the reports are to be believed, Shahid Kapoor was finalized to play the role of Padmavati’s husband. There were also reports of Shah Rukh Khan and Hrithik Roshan being a part of the film. It was also said that Ranveer might not be a part of the film as SLB is upset with him. All in all, there have been many speculations which will be put to an end once an official announcement of the cast and film will be made.

Earlier, Vicky Kaushal was supposed to play Raja Rawal Ratan Singh, but he opted of the film. Then it was said that SLB wanted to cast a TV actor, but Deepika didn’t want to romance a random TV actor and wanted a star opposite her.

Well, now we only hope that soon the onscreen Raja Rawal Ratan Singh gets finalized and the cast of ‘Padmavati’ is officially announced. The movie reportedly goes on floors in September.
