Revealed: Anushka Sharma to play a fictional character in Sanjay Dutt’s biopic

Actress Anushka Sharma is on a roll. After delivering incredible performances in ‘Sultan’ and ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’, her latest film ‘Phillauri’ has just hit the screens yesterday. Post this romantic comedy, her fans are eagerly waiting to see her in the upcoming biopic project being made on actor Sanjay Dutt’s life.

Though there were reports heard that she would be seen playing a journalist, today there’s some update on her character in the film. It is confirmed by Anushka herself that her character is fictional and is not based on any living person.

Recently, while giving a interview, the actress said, “I am doing a cameo in the film but you all should be very excited for it. It will be a very good film. I am not playing his girlfriend, or a journalist, my character is the only fictional character in the film. It is not based on any living person that much I can tell.”

Well, it would be quite interesting to see that how this fictional character of Anushka would add more intensity to the life journey of actor Ranbir Kapoor aka onscreen Sanjay Dutt.

Directed by Rajkumar Hirani, actor Sanjay Dutt’s biopic also features Paresh Rawal as late Sunil Dutt and Dia Mirza as Dutt’s wife Maanayata. Manisha Koirala will be essaying the role of late actress and Sanjay Dutt’s mother, Nargis.

Apart from them, it also stars Sonam Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal playing pivotal parts in it.
