Revealed! Farhan Akhtar to play a struggling Bhojpuri actor in ‘Lucknow Central’

Actor-director Farhan Akhtar, who is known for his sophisticated and suave personality off-screen, is all set to play an aspiring Bhojpuri actor in his next, a Nikhil Advani directorial, titled ‘Lucknow Central’.

It is reported that Farhan’s role in the flick will be more on the rustic side and his character is shown to be a huge fan of Bhojpuri actor, Manoj Tiwari. Also, after all his last movies, the actor wanted to connect with the masses more this time with his character and thus the decision. Farhan feels that his role in ‘Lucknow Central’ and the story of the film will help him connect with the people more.

Farhan reportedly took a month to prepare for his role and get into the character completely.

The film, which also stars Diana Penty as the female lead will releases on the September 15, this year.
