Robert De Niro congratulates Anupam Kher on announcing his 500th film

Now this is something huge that Anupam Kher just achieved. Out of all the actors who start with a dream to make a mark with their acting, some end up being successful. Fewer can achieve the tag of a ‘veteran’. And 500 films? For many, it only remains a dream. But with announcing his 500th film titled ‘The Big Sick’, Kher has just done it. And the best part? None other than legendary Robert De Niro has sent him a congratulatory video for the same!

It is no less than an achievement when Robert De Niro finds you ‘amazing’. Looks like Niro admires Kher and his acting as much as we do. Check the video below!

Kher was as humble as well when asked about his journey till date. “It’s an achievement to do 500 films in 32 years. It shows the kind of life I have had. I’m happy that my 500th landmark film is a Hollywood project. It’s not that if it was a Hindi film, it would have not been important. But I have done a lot of work in Hindi cinema, and now I am looking at newer avenues. It happened by chance that this film worked out around this time. In fact, Mr De Niro has recorded a video message for me, congratulating me on my 500th film. When I watched that, I had a surreal feeling. All I can is that the boy from Shimla (Himachal Pradesh) has come a long way,” he said.
