rohit shetty, secret superstar

Movies clashing on the same day has become a common phenomenon, but when two biggies fight it out on the same release date, the number of shows distributed does affect the box office dynamics of each movie. Hence, many a times, either of the makers prefers to reschedule their release date. Now, as filmmaker Rohit Shetty’s comic-caper ‘Golmaal Again’ is going to clash with Aamir Khan’s ‘Secret Superstar’, the filmmaker was asked about the unavoidable clash of his movie with Aamir Khan’s film.

Speaking to DNA, he said, “I don’t understand why people discuss this so much and give it so much importance. Clashes have just become a talking point today, nothing else. If two films release on the same day and are good films, they will do really well. After all, there are only 52 weeks so clashes aren’t abnormal or strange.”

He further added, “There was a time when a filmmaker had two of his own films releasing on the same day. Look at some of David Dhawan and Priyadarshan films, they have released two films of theirs on the same Friday. And we are talking about this now!”
